the cars that finished 1,2,3,&4 in the 1964 daytona 500 were MOPARS,with destroked hemis.

@FATMIKED518 Not to split hairs here but in 1963 GM issued a corperate ban on racing! Pontiac was in the works on an OHC 421 at the time the ban was issued. The HEMI was huge success and a great engine. But they came after GM pull out of racing.
