My sister and I are in desperate need of a good car that won’t keep breaking down, and we’re wondering if we finance a used car through a dealership ( car costs $9800), and having it put in both of our names.
Would that affect how my financial aid we get and how much of a refund we get? Because we need our financial aid to cover are housing, books etc… and couldn’t afford to have it lowered.
I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem or has any advice?
Thanks so much!

No, buying a car will not affect your financial aid at all.

why not take the $9800 for car and put it toward your education????
you buy car for $1000 cash… no freaking car payments…. DO YOU REALLY WANT CAR PAYMENTS WHILE YOU ARE IN SCHOOL?
why in the hell put yourself in this shit….if you default on the car loan. guess what will happen? the bank will sue you in civil court and that means you and sister will have to pay legal fees and how much is left on that loan. after it is reposed . ops and it stays on your credit report as a judgment….. no more credit cars, no more bank loans, no more apartments…
just go to school and graduate with some degree… ok
