My current car insurance policy runs out at the end of the month and I will not be renewing with them. I am getting a new car approx 2 weeks before the expiry date. Can i start the insurance with another company and ‘overlap’ the insurance ?

I have an older car w/ full coverage. I just bought a new one, and the dealer told me my current policy would cover my new car for a while til I could add it on. I’m looking for a new company to cover my new car, but I need to know; for how long will my old policy cover my new car while I’m shopping for a new one?

I paid for a used car bought in NJ (no nj /pa sales tax was paid for at the time of sale). The title was put in my grandfathers name because i did not have my license at the time. Can he sell the car to me for a dollar, or transfer the title to my name before registering the vehicle? If so, how? I am hoping to avoid paying double for registration and temporary plates, as well as saving some time. I have no intention of avoiding the tax on the sale price of the vehicle.

My wife receive social security she receive $ 680. a month the vechicles that she want cost $ 9,000 but we have a trade in ! Another thing is her credit is not good My Question is do anyone know how high the interest rates will be for a person to finance a car? What happen if you have high interest rates how do this work? We are looking for a 3 years finance a cars! Believe me I never in my life financed a cars or something! Would it be much better if I buy the cars in put in my name I have no credit either?

Does anyone know the standard for how long a rental car company such as enterprise, hertz or avis keeps their units before selling them? I’ve noticed throughout my travels that none seem to be more than a year or two old, and none have over 30k miles.

I haven’t bought a car yet because a lot depends on how much insurance will be. I’m a 27 single female living in Boston, I’ve had a license since 18 but never drove so it expired and I recently renewed it. I don’t have anything on my record. I would be the only person on the insurance. I went online but they required the make and year of your car to calculate the rates.
If you buy a used car and finance it, can you later sell it before its payed off?

My friends bought a new car while the car they just paid off is in the shop (no, I don’t know why they would do such a thing either…) They’re finances are very tight and I think they’re really regretting their rash decision.
How would they go about selling their new Mazda before the first payment is due? Would a company like CarMax buy it from them? Would it be better to advertise for someone to assume the note?
How does one get out of a signed deal with used car dealer before 30 days? The car is not as expected.?

The car has been taken back, but the dealer owner does not want to cancel the deal, neither does he want to fix the car, but he wants to continue getting payments. they do their own finances and is threaten to file small claims suit. The dealer’s name is Cars for Less.

The dealership called me 3 weeks after i signed the paperwork and said give us more money down or we will repo the vehicle. At the time they had stickers in my trade and screwed with it while it was on the lot. There are a lot of holes in their complaint. They raised the finance total on me. I dont know if there is anything I can do

Is this because of our economy??
My husband has been selling cars for 25 years. He said the business this year and right now has been terrible. He has worked at another place this year, but it was the same thing there….SLOW. He’s depressed about this and is thinking of maybe changing careers.
He is an excellent salesman and has done well in the past, but this year has been a real bummer!
