Sales are off,because of the economy and negative publicity of the car manufacturers,etc.You get a nominal draw pay,but must pay it back if you do sell something.Consequently my income is almost nothing.I live in Pa.The Dealer won’t lay anyone off,its not costing him anything to keep the sales force,he has cut all of the other services in the store.

Going to MA for a family reunion, but I will be flying in on my own. I am 21, but need to rent a car. I have been told that I can’t rent a car until I am 25, but some people say that it depends on the agency. Anybody know a place that will rent cars to 21 year-olds?
Is it true that car hire co’s will only accept credit cards in payment for hire?

We have been told this by a bank cashier. We do not with to own a credit card, but do like to hire a car on holiday.
Which line do I fill out for writing off sales tax on a car purchase? I only file with 1040A I do not Itemize?

I bought a car in 2008 in Wa state and was told I can write off the sales tax of $1072 dollars. I only file using the 1040A form and do not itemize. Where can I write this off? Which line.
Are there any car rental companies in NJ that you only have to be 18 to put a car under your name?

I am only 19 but I’m under my dad’s insurance. Some lady backed into my car and the insurance company will pay for a rental car, but I know most of them you have to be like 25, but I’m sure there’s at least ONE that you only have to be 18. I live in NJ. Does anyone know any??

My self and a friend have started our own cleaning service and we would like to clean commercialized buisness’s such as starbucks,enterprise renta car exc…and apartment complex’s.Anyhow we have everything we need to start liscense,insurance exc…but we have no idea how to price it and put in a bid to the companies.Some people say charge by the square footage but how like how much a square foot? And how should we present our buisness to companies.Any advice and or idea’s would be helpful.We’re in Atlanta Ga.

If I sell my car instead of trade-in do I still only pay sales tax on the difference of my new car?

I know that if I buy a new car and trade in my current car I’d only pay sales on the difference left over after my trade-in. Would the same apply if I sell the car myself privately? For example, if I sell my car for $25k and then buy a new car for $35k would I pay sales tax on the full $35k or just the $10k difference?
Is there a car site that allows me to get quotes from dealers all over US & Canada vs. close to my zip only?

Every now and then I’m asked to find a new or used car for a friend.
Instead of searching through endless sites I would like to post me needs and get offers/quotes. However, when going to traditional car sites (e.g. AutoByTel.com) you can only get quotes from local dealers. I would much prefer to be able to get quotes from nationwide and/or Canada. Any suggestions for a good site?
Also, do you know of a reputable wholeseller or a liquidator of lease and rental car companies?
Any help/suggestions are much appreciated
