I signed the car title and gave it to him. This is my first time selling a car. It still runs. Is there anything else I need to do to cover my butt incase they use my old car to rob a bank or get in wreck and leave the car at the scene? If the authorities come to me and say my car was involved what do I need to do to prove it’s not my car any more?

Do you think McCain would of sold the white house to a private company just to lease it back by now?
McCain is selling some govenrment buildings in AZ to private companies to lease them back to the AZ government. Is leasing a car cheaper in the long run then buying a car outright?
Did you know that every new car sold in America is taking notes on your driving?
It is like a black box in a plane. It records all the info on how you are driving. Insurance companies can ask for the info to deny your coverage.

Why are used car lots typically so much cheaper than pre-owned cars sold on new car lots?
I have been shopping for cars in the mid-20K’s at used car lots, and it seems the same cars (make, model, features and mileage) are at least 20% more at new car dealerships. What gives?
Car dealership lied about used car sold As is, do I still have a case?
The dealership where I purchased my car usually always has the buyer sign the carfax report. it was late and dark. When I purchased my car from them, they did not have me sign this document and here is why…….
1. I asked how many owners the car had.
Response: One owner, local car, trade in for new car
2. Has it ever been in any accidents (asked this twice)
Response: No accidents of any kind.
The car was sold as is, I did sign that one, but this should not give them the right to intentionally mis-lead and lie.
I return home, notice a huge crack through the bumper. I go online and pull a carfax and the car was wrecked and had 5 owners! The oil was jet black and overfilled too. The bumber was structurely destroyed and the body shop it needed to be replaced. I contact dealer, they say, to bad, as is. I tell them they lied and lied some more.
I want the bumper fixed at least, if I take them to court, do I have a case at all?
Is there anything i can do against the Used Car Dealership that sold me a car with a broken exhaust system?
I bouth a used 2004 Toyota Corolla S about 4 months ago. About a week ago my check engine light came on and i took it into the Toyota Dealership near my home. They inspected it and came to the conclusion that a whole new exhaust system needed to be replaced since the current one was not stock and was rotting from the inside out. I was quoted $2200 for total costs. I will find out what it truly is tommorow. Anyways, the mechanic told me that the dealership sold me a car he feels was not in a condition that should of been sold. There were wires hanging beneath the car from old underglow lights the previous owner had put in. He also stated that the way the old exhaust was welded together was a joke. He made a comment stating that any Used Car dealership should of checked this car out and knew that it was not worthy of being sold. Is this a lemon car? I did buy it with a warranty but the exhaust system isnt covered. It was also sold As Is when i bought it? Is there anything i can do? Any recourse that can be taken against them?
I forgot to originally mention that the exhaust system was not stock when i bought it. It came to the dealership through someone who did customer work to the car. Shouldnt the Used Car dealership make sure everything works properly and will continue to work properly before they sell it? And im in CA if you wanted to know.
Sold car in california and it was impounded?
Am I liable for a car that has been impounded? I filed a liability release with ca dmv on line and the car was sold 2 months ago. I got a letter today stating it was impounded. Also has me as the regestered owner (obviously the buyer never registered it) I have a copy of the release of liability. The car was sold for cash.
I did not contact the tow company yet. Should I? and if so, would the accept the release of liability and clear me? or would I be stuck with the bill?
Thanks!
Car finance question for the experts who have bought and sold a lot of cars in their lifetimes.
My car stats : 2003 Audi A6 112k loaded.
64 months left on loan of $10,900.
work needed: Tires at $400. Bearing at $320. Brakes at $275.
My question is… what makes more sense??? Keeping it and putting more work into it???
Or trading it in for another new or used car?!??!
If i keep putting money into it i have a fear that will never stop and i dont want keep draining money into it id rather buy new or a newer used car. What makes more financial sense and what should i do??
I was considering possibly leasing to buy.
Thanks
Sold a used car and now he has car problems?
I sold a used 93 honda in Los Angeles. The guy was young and he loved the car. He did not bring a mechanic nor did he even check the engine. The vehicle was in good running condition and had no major problems. I sold it on friday night and he drove off with the keys. I had signed my part on the pink slip but did not do a bill of sale. The next day i get a call from him saying that the tire blew off on the freeway and he is stuck. he then proceeded to take the car to a mechanic where they quoted him $1000 in damage. Now he wants me to pay half. I dont think i am liable where he might have hit some metal or something on the freeway. Now he says he is going ot proceed to sue.
Do cars being sold on Ebay usually sell for alot more than the price they have?
bare with me, im clueless about ebay. im looking at a 2002 porsche listed at $8100, too good to be true definetly, becuase kelly blue book says the cars worth 28k in trade in value. so i show my aunt and shes like haha, its def gonna sell for like 24000$ to a collector because, the dealer probably knows what he can get for it.
but the auctions only got 7 days left, and the highest bid has been 8100$ for a few days. if i thought even for a second i could get it for 8-9k i would bid on it, can anybody shed some light on how ebay car sales work for me? thanks
