I’m 17 and trying to find a good used car online and would like to know what is the best way to go about it?

This will be my first car. My mom is trying to stop me from getting one, so she refuses to help me at all, but I’m determined to buy one soon because it’s necessary for me to be able to get around and work. I’m willing to spend up to about 7, 000. I just want a car that works and that I don’t need to put money into fixing up a lot. But since I’m new to this, what should I be careful of during my search? What’s acceptable mileage for used cars? What are the best websites? Etc.

ok im searching for a 1999 Mitsubishi eclipse 5SPD manual trans anywhere between 0-100,000 miles
black or dark grey interior and it fairly good condition (scratches and small dents dont matter). now are there any good used car websites that do or might have a car like this? i know about cars.com, and im not getting it off ebay :P but i was curious to other peoples opinions on a good used car website. thank you

can you set up online used car sales transaction through yahoo.finance?

We are looking at a used car at a price well below market value. Seller in Maine claims that he will set up the transaction through yahoo!finance. We should deposit funds with yahoo!, he ships the car to us in Ohio & we will have 15 days to inspect before yahoo! releases funds to him. I don’t see this type of transaction available on yahoo!’s web pages. Seems suspect

How do I get a used car loan wihout any credit history?

I have applied on a variety of online websites for a used car loan. They will deny me as I have no credit history. I tried CapitalOne and eLoan as well. My income is about $1400 monthly. I want a 10k loan to buy a used RSX from someone. I even tried getting the same car from a dealer but the guy told me to apply at CapitalOne which as I already said denied it. I don’t have anyone I could use as a co-signer either. Any ideas how I can get the loan for this car without having to wait for better credit history?
